Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is Oxford Family Dentistry a private practice?

Oxford Family Dentistry is a locally owned private dental practice led by Dr. Oleynik and Dr. Batlle. We’re not part of a corporate chain, so you get truly personalized care with no outside influence. Our focus is on building lasting relationships and providing exceptional, honest dental care to patients of all ages.

2. Do you accept dental insurance?

Yes! We are in-network with Blue Cross and Delta Dental, and we accept private insurance plans. Even if we’re not in-network, we’re happy to submit your claims as a courtesy. We also offer in-house membership plans for patients without insurance. We do not accept Mass Health.

3. How often should I visit the dentist?

We recommend visiting the dentist at least every six months for cleanings and checkups. Regular visits help catch problems early, prevent cavities and gum disease, and keep your smile healthy.

4. What services do you offer at Oxford Family Dentistry?

We offer comprehensive dental care, including:

  • Same-day crowns with digital impressions
  • Dental implants
  • White fillings (dental bonding)
  • Veneers (conservative cosmetic treatment)
  • Root canals
  • Tooth extractions
  • Professional teeth whitening
  • Routine cleanings and exams

5. Do you provide emergency dental care?

Yes, we offer emergency dental care for toothaches, broken teeth, infections, and other urgent dental issues. Contact us right away if you’re in pain — the sooner you’re seen, the more options we have for saving your tooth and avoiding complex treatment.

6. What should I do if I have tooth pain?

Tooth pain can have many causes — from a cavity or cracked tooth to a bite issue or infection. Sometimes it’s something simple like a bite adjustment, but other times a root canal may be needed. The sooner we see you, the better the outcome and the less likely you’ll need invasive care.

7. Are you accepting new patients?

Yes! We’re always welcoming new patients — whether you’re new to the area or just looking for a new dental home. We treat children, adults, and seniors in a relaxed, judgment-free environment.

8. Where are you located?

We’re conveniently located in Oxford, Massachusetts right off Sutton Avenue. We proudly serve patients from surrounding towns including Auburn, Webster, Dudley, Douglas, Worcester, and more.

9. Do you treat children and families?

Absolutely. We’re a family dentistry practice and see patients of all ages — including kids, teens, adults, and seniors. We focus on prevention and education to help your family maintain healthy smiles for life.

10. What are same-day crowns and how do they work?

Our same-day crowns use digital scanning technology (no messy impressions!) and in-office milling to design and place your custom crown in just one visit — no temporaries, no second appointment.

11. What cosmetic dental treatments do you offer?

We provide cosmetic options like veneers, whitening, and bonding to improve your smile. Veneers are very conservative and require little to no tooth removal, making them a popular choice for natural-looking smile makeovers.

12. Do you treat nervous or anxious patients?

Yes, and we go out of our way to make you comfortable. We offer a comfort menu that includes blankets, ear plugs, warm towels, and more. We also explain everything clearly and go at your pace.

13. What is your approach to dental technology?

We believe in using the latest proven technology to improve comfort and outcomes. This includes digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, and digital impressions for crowns and restorations. We also have a Cone Beam X-Ray unit and a mill for in office crowns, veneers and bridges.

14. Do you offer teeth whitening?

Yes, we offer a variety teeth whitening options. Whether you want quick results or a gradual whitening system, we’ll help you choose the right fit for your smile goals.

15. What if I don’t have dental insurance?

No problem — we offer affordable in-house membership plans for individuals and families without insurance. These plans include cleanings, exams, and discounts on most procedures.

16. What is dental bonding and how is it used?

Dental bonding uses tooth-colored filling material to fix small chips, fill cavities, close gaps, or cover stains. It’s minimally invasive and often completed in a single visit — perfect for fast smile improvements.

17. Do you offer dental implant treatment?

Yes! We place and restore dental implants to replace missing teeth with strong, natural-looking results. We handle the entire process in-office for your convenience.

18. How do I schedule an appointment?

You can call our office or book online using our website. Our friendly front desk team is happy to answer questions and find a time that works for your schedule.

19. What should I expect on my first visit?

Your first visit includes a complete exam, X-rays, pictures, and a cleaning (if appropriate). We’ll get to know you, discuss your goals, and make a personalized plan to help you maintain or restore your oral health.
